On July 16th, the third China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo (referred to as “Chain Expo”) kicked off at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall). The Chain Expo is the world’s first national-level exhibition with a focus on supply chain, hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. This year’s Chain Expo has further expanded its “circle of friends”, attracting over 650 enterprises and institutions to participate.
As the world’s first national-level exhibition with supply chain as its theme, the Chain Expo is committed to promoting the connection between the upstream, midstream and downstream of the industrial chain and the integration of large, medium and small enterprises, providing an open platform for global economic and trade cooperation. The theme of this year’s Chain Expo is “Linking the World, Co-creating the Future”, featuring “six Chains and one exhibition area”, namely the advanced manufacturing chain, clean energy chain, intelligent vehicle chain, digital technology chain, healthy living chain, green agriculture chain and supply chain service exhibition area.
There are two key words for this year’s Chain Expo.
The first keyword is full of new ideas. Among the exhibitors, there are more than 230 global companies participating for the first time. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the International Automobile Federation will participate in the exhibition for the first time. In addition, this year’s Innovation Chain Zone will be opened for the first time, focusing on cutting-edge technology applications and industrial collaboration. 14 exhibitors and companies will focus on innovative achievements with patents as the core, and showcase the entire chain of innovative achievements transformation and application from basic research to technology research and development, industrial applications, and market feedback. It will also launch the global supply chain index matrix for the first time, and hold the “Chain Expo First Station” event for the first time; and so on.
The second keyword is “chain” to connect the future. Exhibitors at the Chain Expo are not “opponents” but “teammates”. They are not “grabbing the cake” from each other, but “making the cake” together. The expansion of overseas exhibitors has become a major highlight of this Chain Expo. This Chain Expo attracted more than 650 companies and institutions to participate in the exhibition, involving 75 countries, regions and international organizations. The world’s top 500 and leading companies accounted for more than 65%, and overseas exhibitors accounted for 35%. Among them, the number of exhibitors from the United States increased by 15% over the previous session, continuing to rank first in the number of overseas exhibitors, and the exhibition area increased by 10%. Multinational companies such as Apple and Tesla have signed up to participate in the exhibition. This year’s Chain Expo will use big data and artificial intelligence technology to further optimize corporate docking and strive to create the 3.0 version of the Chain Expo’s “Find Friends” mode, so that everyone’s links are getting closer and closer, and the cooperation cake is getting bigger and bigger.
