By Fortnite players are in for a heroic weekend as Superman’s Call Crystal is now guaranteed to appear in every match within the Battle Royale mode. This special event has been confirmed by the official Fortnite X account and is expected to last only through the weekend.
Previously, the Call Crystal had a much lower drop rate, appearing only once every few matches. According to game.news, only one player per match can obtain the crystal — reminiscent of the powerful Star Destroyers from the Star Wars collaboration, which also featured limited-use items that turned the tide of battle.
The Superman Call Crystal spawns at a random time during the match, with an in-game alert notifying players: “Superman’s Call Has Appeared!” Once the announcement is made, players can spot the location of the crystal on the mini-map by looking for Superman’s iconic “S” symbol, surrounded by a hexagonal outline.
Upon reaching the crystal and interacting with it, the lucky player will immediately transform into Superman, soaring into the sky to take the fight to a whole new level.
