Lamborghini has issued a notable recall for its new flagship supercar, the According to car.news, there is a risk that the vehicle’s doors may unexpectedly close, posing a safety hazard.
According to the company’s official statement, the ball pins supporting the door gas struts may not have been installed according to manufacturing specifications. This could cause the pins to loosen or completely detach. If such an issue occurs while the door is open, it could close on the driver or passenger with significant force. In addition, opening the door from inside the vehicle might require more force than usual, potentially extending evacuation time in an emergency.
Officials emphasize that such a mechanical fault could significantly increase the risk of injury, especially during sudden evacuations. According to car.news, the recall affects only two Revueltos produced in 2023–2024. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) list of the affected cars is included in the official notice.
Revuelto owners are advised to contact authorized Lamborghini dealerships as soon as possible to schedule an appointment. Service technicians will inspect the tightness of the ball pins on the door gas struts and, if necessary, readjust them free of charge.
