Dubai / London — October 2025. Feenie’s Table, a premium inclusive tableware brand inspired by real family life and the diversity of how people eat, was recently awarded Kickstarter’s “Project We Love” badge after reaching its $27K funding target within just 20 hours of launch.
Kickstarter, a global crowdfunding platform, allows creators to test ideas and build community support before moving into full-scale production.
From the richly textured rituals of South Asian meals to the social gatherings of Middle Eastern homes, dining has always been about connection. Feenie’s Table, a new tableware brand rooted in both cultures, is reimagining that connection through design.
Founded by Feenie Khan, the brand’s centerpiece is a luxury plate crafted in new bone china, designed with a distinct section that separates components of a meal while preserving their texture. The design merges aesthetic elegance with inclusive functionality, reflecting a global shift toward tableware that’s as thoughtful as it is beautiful.
The idea was inspired by Feenie’s daughter, who has ADHD and prefers her food kept separate—a small detail that opened a larger conversation about sensory comfort and inclusion. “So much of our dining experience is sensory,” says Khan. “For my daughter, separating food wasn’t about fussiness, it was about focus and calm. That insight made me realize how design could serve people emotionally as well as practically.”
For Khan, this understanding ties back to her upbringing. “In most culture-rich communities, food and the table are how we welcome people,” she says. “I learned that from a young age, and it’s something I’ve passed on to my daughters—that a meal is more than food; it’s a way of saying you belong here.”
This philosophy flows through every part of Feenie’s Table. What began as a response to her daughter’s sensory needs and the challenge of fitting South Asian meals onto Western-style plates has become a quiet movement bridging function, emotion, and culture.
Since the Kickstarter success, chefs, designers, and artists from Dubai, London, and beyond have reached out to collaborate—each eager to reinterpret the meaning of gathering at the table. From artistic plating to cultural storytelling through food, these collaborations celebrate diversity, creativity, and shared ritual.
The campaign is still live and runs until the end of October. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/feeniestable/feenie-section-plate
With orders scheduled for February 2026, the brand plans to expand into chef collaborations and design partnerships, bridging cultures through the art of dining.
Feenie’s Table is more than tableware—it’s a quiet revolution in how we gather, connect, and see ourselves reflected at the table.
