This initiative, slated to kick off in April, aligns with the government’s mission to provide free medical check-ups for all citizens, particularly those residing in the far-flung districts of Sabah.

Malaysia, 27th Mar 2024 – In a bid to bolster healthcare accessibility in Sabah’s remote regions, Dr. Jest Wong, renowned for his concept of ‘humanipreneurship,’ has teamed up with BorneoMedic and Sinarmas Medic to launch a transformative medical program. This initiative, slated to kick off in April, aligns with the government’s mission to provide free medical check-ups for all citizens, particularly those residing in the far-flung districts of Sabah.

Project Umbrella’s involvement in this initiative signifies a significant step forward in bridging healthcare gaps in underserved communities by partnering with BorneoMedic and Sinarmas Medic. One innovative aspect of this program is the integration of the Re-Mind app, designed to assess and address individuals’ mental well-being. Recognizing the importance of mental health in overall wellness, the utilization of this app underscores the holistic approach taken by Dr. Jest Wong and his team.

The commitment goes beyond mere participation. Dr. Jest Wong also be contributing essential medical supplies to bolster the campaign’s efficacy, demonstrating his dedication to making a tangible difference in Sabah’s healthcare.

 

By also implementing robust follow-up mechanisms, the program aims to address health issues comprehensively and sustainably.

Under the Sabah Maju Jaya initiative with State Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Datuk James Ratib, this program will be closely monitored by the State Health Department. The comprehensive coverage across all districts of Sabah underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring equitable healthcare access for all citizens, regardless of their geographical location.
