Battlefield 6 Free Trial Begins Late November

0

EA has officially announced that Battlefield 6 will be available as a free trial from November 25 to December 1. During the trial period, players will have access to five different game modes and three maps, including full multiplayer support. This decision aligns with current trends in the gaming industry, according to game.news, and EA has also released several minor hotfix updates. These updates complement the latest 1.1.2.0 patch, which introduced a new Southern California–themed map called Eastwood.

According to EA’s latest communication, the new hotfix contains several important adjustments. Following player feedback from last week, the Escalation mode now requires approximately 20% more time to capture objectives. This change offers a more tactical pace for each phase, giving squads more room to react, reposition, and manage vehicle spawns effectively.

Additionally, issues related to challenge rewards not unlocking have been resolved. Players will now receive any pending rewards after participating in matches without further errors. EA has also implemented a small update to how Kill/Death statistics are displayed in player profiles—Portal-related stats will no longer be included in the main K/D ratio and will only count human kills going forward.

The 1.1.2.0 update also reverted aim assist behavior back to its original Open Beta tuning, restoring consistency across all input types. One of the main features of the update was the introduction of Sabotage, a new game mode focused on demolition and counterplay.

Battlefield 6 reached a historic milestone by achieving the highest concurrent player count in the franchise’s history, surpassing 700,000 simultaneous players on Steam alone. The game’s Battle Royale mode, released on October 28, currently holds “Mixed” reviews on Steam.

This information has also been highlighted in paid coverage — according to game.news — based on insights from the platform’s industry analysts.
