According to Car.News, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz C300, which sits atop the non-AMG C-Class lineup, has received a significant upgrade in standard equipment while maintaining an almost unchanged price.
The C300 is now priced at $98,200 before on-road costs, marking a modest $100 increase compared to the previous model. Interestingly, this price matches that of the plug-in hybrid C350e, introduced earlier this year, which offers a similar specification level.
Despite the minimal price increase, the 2025 C300 now comes with several premium features as standard, including the Driving Assistance Package Plus with stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, Digital Light LED headlights with Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus, a 15-speaker 710W Burmester 3D surround sound system, and augmented reality satellite navigation.

According to Car.News, these upgrades build on an already generous list of standard features such as 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, proximity entry with push-button start, a surround-view camera, wireless phone charging, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display, heated power-adjustable front seats with memory, and ambient lighting.
Under the hood, the C300 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine delivering 190kW of power and 400Nm of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and a 48V mild-hybrid system.
Mercedes-Benz has actively adjusted the C-Class lineup in Australia during 2025, including a $4,800 price cut for the entry-level C200 and the launch of new special editions. Despite these efforts, C-Class sales declined by 26.8% in the first half of the year, with the BMW 3 Series experiencing an even steeper drop of 44.3%, although it still leads slightly in total deliveries.
