CHICAGO, Illinois — July 31, 2023  — The Anti-Cruelty Society, Chicago’s oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization, in partnership with PRConnect, will promote animal welfare and pet ownership at LMA Fest 2023, the Local Media Association’s annual event.

Recognizing the impact that animals can have on human well-being and the power of their presence in captivating audiences, PRConnect has invited The Anti-Cruelty Society to bring a litter of puppies to LMA Fest 2023 at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Gleacher Center Conference Center on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023 at 12 noon.

Attendees visiting the convention will have the unique opportunity to play with these adorable puppies at PRConnect’s booth, fostering an environment of joy and relaxation amid the bustling trade-show atmosphere. In addition to promoting animal welfare, this collaboration aims to highlight the positive effects of incorporating pets into our lives, emphasizing their ability to reduce stress, improve mental health, and enhance overall well-being.

“Amid all the important issues being discussed at LMA Fest, we’re hoping to underscore the importance of supporting animal welfare by sharing the joys of pet companionship with the attendees,” said Wing Yu, CEO of PRConnect.

Erin Daly, Manager of Special Events and Memorable Experiences for The Anti-Cruelty Society, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, “We are excited about this opportunity to partner with PRConnect and to bring some of our playful companions to LMA Fest.  In our quest to find loving homes for the puppies, we’ve come across many journalists and appreciate the work that they do in telling our stories to their readers.”

The Anti-Cruelty Society and PRConnect invite all attendees to cuddle with the puppies on Wednesday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. and to follow the organization on social media by using the hashtag #AntiCrueltySociety.

“We’re delighted with this opportunity to create and promote open conversations about animal welfare while providing a fun, interactive activity for our attendees,” said Lindsey Leisher Estes, Chief of Staff for the Local Media Association. “We welcome The Anti-Cruelty Society to LMA Fest and look forward to meeting their team and the puppies.”
