By The Songwriters’ Association of Washington (SAW) will host a dynamic night of original music on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Hank Dietle’s Tavern in Rockville, MD. The showcase features five acclaimed singer-songwriters from the DC – Dan Kenny, Joseph Friend, Rich Morey, Rick Windon, and Know1Else (Jay Keating & Kelly Diamond)
ROCKVILLE, MD – July 11, 2025 – The Songwriters’ Association of Washington (SAW) is proud to present an exciting showcase featuring five popular singer-songwriters on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the historic Hank Dietle’s Tavern, located at 11010 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852.
Performers:
Dan Kenny
Dan Kenny, frontman of the Americana band “From the Dirt,” is recognized for his compelling storytelling and heartfelt songwriting. Often performing alongside mandolinist Jeff Karn and vocalist Megan Leigh, Dan Kenny’s latest release, “Colored Edge of Memory,” beautifully showcases his authentic narrative style.
Joseph Friend
A DMV native, Joseph Friend’s musical style merges the dynamic energy of 90’s alternative rock with other eclectic influences. Intermittently gracing festival, TV, and showcase stages for the past two decades, Joseph captivates audiences with original compositions that alternate between powerful crescendos and reflective moments. Rich Morey
Rich Morey creates music rooted in Americana, Rock, Folk, and Soul, distinguished by rhythmic fingerstyle guitar and rich baritone vocals. His latest single, “More Time,” is currently available across streaming platforms, and new releases are expected soon.
Rick Windon
Rick Windon is known for his engaging storytelling, humor, and warmth, drawing musical inspiration from artists such as James Taylor and Elvis Costello. His latest Nashville-produced album, “Blue Moon,” was released in late 2024. He is currently working on his next project, “Parlor Songs.”
Know1Else
Comprised of Jay Keating and Kelly Diamond, Know1Else delivers original Americana music characterized by rich harmonies and relatable narratives. They also host the popular SAW Songwriters’ Sessions at Hank Dietle’s Tavern.
